Below are the CSCS cards you can acquire from the CSCS Scheme having completed a CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test - commonly refered to as a CSCS Test or CITB Touch Screen Test.

You will need to complete the Operatives Test to apply for this card.

Once you have passed your Operatives Test you will also need to show evidence that you have completed the QCF Level 1/SCQF Level 4 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment (one day course) when applying for your card. If you have not completed the one day course you can apply for a Provisional CSCS Card.
You will need to pass the Operatives Test to apply for the Provisional Card. This card lasts for six months and cannot be renewed. Before this card expires Provisional Card holders must achieve or be registered for a recognised construction related qualification and apply for the appropriate CSCS card for their job.
Provisional cards are only available for people that have never held a CSCS card.
You will need to pass the Operatives Test to Apply for this Card. The Apprentice card is available to applicants who have started (or about to start) a recognised apprenticeship framework. This card is valid for 4 years and 6 months, and cannot be renewed.
Book CSCS Operatives Test NowAll applicants must have passed the relevant CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test for their job within the past two years and be registered for the relevant Construction Related NVQ or SVQ.
The Experienced Worker Card is valid for one year and cannot be renewed. It is issued on a temporary basis, giving you time to achieve a Construction Related QCF qualification.
This Experienced Red CSCS Card is for a Supervisors and Managers that have had experience (one to three years) in their role but have not achieved a construction related NVQ or SVQ level 3, 4 or 5 (or construction related QCF NVQ Level 6 or 7) or are not a member of an approved Professional Body. This card is issued on a temporary basis and is only valid for three years. Applicants must be registered for a Construction Related NVQ or SVQ Level 3 or higher and be able to provide proof of registration onto their qualification.
For Manager occupations you should take the Managers and Professionals (MAP) test. Supervisor occupations should sit the Supervisors test.
The Red Trainee CSCS Card is for workers that are registered for but have not yet achieved a SVQ or NVQ level 2 or 3. If they have registered in a form of further education, such as college, for a construction related qualification, the person should apply for the Red Trainee CSCS Card.
Book CSCS Test NowAll applicants for the Blue Skilled Worker CSCS Card must have passed the relevant CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test for their job role. The Blue CSCS Card is for skilled workers that have completed an employer-sponsored apprenticeship. Alternatively, you may have a SVQ or NVQ level 2 qualifications or a City and Guilds Craft Certificate. The Blue Skilled Worker CSCS Card is valid for 5 years.
Book CSCS Test NowYou will need to pass the CITB Managers and Professionals (MAP) Health, Safety and Environment Test for this card. The Black CSCS Card is for senior professionals that have responsibilities as a manager and senior manager. To apply for the Black CSCS Card the applicant must have passed the CITB Managers and Professionals (MAP) Health, Safety and Environment Test and achieved NVQ/SVQ levels 5, 6 or 7 in the relevant construction management level qualification. Alternatively you may hold a pre-existing NVQ level 4 in construction management.
Book CSCS Test NowAll applicants for the Gold Advanced Craft CSCS Card must have passed the relevant CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test for their job role.
This Advanced Craft card is available if you have either an Achieved a Construction Related NVQ or SVQ level 3, Completed an approved indentured apprenticeship (e.g.with NJCBI, BATJIC etc.) or Completed an employer sponsored apprenticeship which included the achievement of a City and Guilds of London Institute Advanced Craft Certificate.
All applicants must pass the Supervisors CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test. The Gold CSCS Supervisor Card is for professionals that work in a supervisor role for their day-to-day occupation and have been awarded a Construction Related Supervisory SVQ or NVQ level 3 or 4.

All applicants must pass the CITB Operatives Health, Safety and Environment Test. The Regular Visitor CSCS Card is for professionals that visit construction sites as a part of their job role, but don't have evidence of onsite skills. All Construction Site Visitor cards issued from 3rd September 2018 will expire on 31st August 2020 and are non-renewable. However, any Construction Site Visitor cards issued before 3rd September 2018 will still remain valid until the expiry date listed on the card.
All applicants for the Professionally Qualified Person Card must pass the CITB Managers and Professionals Health, Safety and Environment Test. The Professionally Qualified Person CSCS Card is for professionals that have general health and safety responsibilities in their role, such as Surveyors, Client Architects, Consultants and Engineers. This card is available to members of CSCS approved Professional Bodies.

This card is available to people who have completed certain construction related degrees, HNDs, HNCs, CIOB Certificates and NEBOSH diplomas.
